Jane kirby, Artistic director
An aerialist and acrobat who strives to create engaging performances with a contemporary aesthetic. She can most often be found performing on the aerial silks, but also frequently performs acro-dance and on rope.
PERFORMANCE
Jane's aerial work has been seen on stages across Canada and the United States. She is a company member on tour with the Caravan Stage Company for their 2017 production of Nomadic Tempest. Her original work has been featured as part of the Skeleton Park Arts Festival (Kingston, ON), the In the Soil Festival (St. Catherines, ON), the Kick & Push Festival (Kingston, ON) , and Nocturne (Halifax, NS), among others. She created Lowlit Aerial Arts as an umbrella for her creative projects.
TEACHING

David parker, collaborator
A multi-instrumental musician, composer, sound designer and digital media artist based in Kingston, Ontario.
MUSIC
David plays upright bass and electronics as part of the experimental duo Fire Moss. Fire Moss has released three albums, performed at the Tone Deaf Festival, the Homegrown Music Festival, and were featured on the compilation The Artel Sessions (Otoacoustic). He is a singer-songwriter who performs his songs in a folk-rock act called ‘Slow Man Tofu’ and a free-rock band, ‘Slow Man Seitan’. He has collaborated with Stefan Christoff and released an EP of duets with the Howl! Arts Collective. David has done sound and music design for theatrical productions by An aRc Theatre and Single Thread Theatre.

David’s digital media artwork uses microcontrollers and audio processing in a collaborative duo with circus aerialist and movement artist Jane Kirby of Lowlit Aerial Arts. Kirby and Parker have performed at Skeleton Park Arts Festival in Kingston (2015), the In The Soil Festival in St. Catharines (2015), and the Contemporary Circus Arts Festival Toronto (2014). They were Media Artists In Residence at Modern Fuel Artist Run Centre in Kingston, ON (2015).

Kristin langille dahl, collaborator
Kristin is a Halifax-based aerialist and actor. In November 2015 her passion brought her to Hong Kong to compete in the Professional Women's Dance Trapeze category at the Aerial Performance Tournament, where she placed 3rd. She co-created/directed and performed in Up In The Air: A Circus Love Story with collaborator Alex Smith, the show was awarded "Fringe Hit" by the Atlantic Fringe Fest. Other circus-theatre credits are: Alice in Down the Rabbit Hole (Halifax Circus), Dreamscapes (Cirque Inverta), Species: Acrobatic Short Stories (Urban Chameleon/ Fringe), Martine (Family in Church/EQUITY Co-pro), Ghost in Jeremy Webb's A Christmas Carol (Neptune Studio Stage). Kristin is also head of the Aerials Department at Halifax Circus, and completed her Circus Instructor training at Ecole Nationale du Cirque in 2016.
